SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
A FREE NIGHT FOR CHRISTIAN SERVANTHOOD
Thursday, June 4, 2009

Servants from the Kentucky Annual Conference are needed to assist with two outreach ministries for citizens of Covington that have been planned for our free night.

These outreach activities seek to share the love of Christ by providing a free meal to homeless and marginalized individuals and their families in downtown Covington, and to spearhead an effort to distribute free books to every preschool child living in the immediate vicinity of Ida Spence Mission, a ministry of the Covington District located in Covington’s City Heights Housing Project. The book donation ministry is part of an outreach entitled “A Child’s Own Book,” a ministry of Immanuel United Methodist Church.

Please register your willingness to serve prior to conference by sending an email or by calling the numbers listed below. You will also be able to sign up at the Information Booth located in the Northern Kentucky Convention Center when you arrive in Covington.
