2009 Kentucky State Fair
For the first time in many years the Kentucky Annual Conference had a booth at the Kentucky State Fair. We were there for eleven days meeting and greeting people from all over the state and telling them about the United Methodist Church in Kentucky. We had materials telling about our camps, our retirement communities, our children's homes and various other ministries. We had computers set up to help fairgoers find a church or visit other United Methodist related sites. We also had inspirational reading materials for adults and magazines and flying disks for the children.
On Tuesday, August 26, the Madisonville District brought eleven volunteers to help work the booth all day. Many thanks to the Madisonville District.
Here are photos of the time the Kentucky Annual Conference spent at the Kentucky State fair.
